Re: Icelandair

I have a bit more insight into this thanks to speaking to Icelandair at trade events. EDI has been on the cards for at least the last 2 years, the exact quote to me was "a second Scottish airport is being considered" History may well repeat itself, but Glasgow was just expanded in terms of frequency...

Re: Interesting Movements 2025

Flightradar has somebody onboard who has reported 95 passengers, and I'm willing to bet most are vloggers and James Asquith's invited guests  By contrast, today's Icelandair is a Boeing 767 with over 230 passengers on the inbound (not sure about outbound) so Global clearly isn't the answer t...

Re: Jobs galore at AGS

I noticed on a recent LinkedIn post that AGS now have a new head of corporate affairs - none other than former SNP MP Gavin Newlands. Don’t recall that role being advertised and don’t recall any announcement or press release from AGS about this high profile role being filled either. He posted on Li...

Re: Ember service to Fort William

Long distance is to be welcomed, but the local bus network is woeful...still!

Considering how many buses you see in Paisley some of them would likely be welcomed be locals if they went to the airport

Re: Aberdeen

Ryanair will operate year-round flights from Aberdeen to Alicante and Krakow, with both routes previously summer seasonal. Starting this winter, each route will run twice weekly. This move could hopefully signal further Ryanair expansion at another AviAlliance-operated airport this winter... Alican...

Re: 'Comprehensive Transformation' of terminal

Excellent, thanks for sharing Ian. Honestly, this man is music to my ears! He's acknowledging that Glasgow is Scotland’s biggest city, that its airport was once the country's busiest, and that far too many Glasgow passengers are now being lost to the second city’s airport. I’m looking forward to se...

Re: Courier Article: I tried the new Dundee to Glasgow Airport bus

There is also a good point in it that I noticed on Sunday about there being a smoking area right next to the bus stop, hopefully the smoking area can be moved away from the public transport area

Re: Empty airport

Just checking the arrivals for tonight. Between 4.29 and 7.30pm a total of...6 arrivals. Departures not much better with 6 too. Quiet, much? When do the summer schedules kick in? Summer/winter scheduled timetable changes normally coincide with the clock changes twice a year - not so sure about the ...

Re: International Pier - Airbridges

It's good to hear that the airbridges are being fixed. I wonder if this is because of the new owners or if the work was alway going to be carried out on this schedule. The replacement for the bridge on 32 was always planned, however was constantly delayed due to ‘not enough money in the budget’ whe...
