I see an enormous order with Boeing was placed when orange face was in Doha.
I'm pretty sure we'll see some of those 787s at GLA in time!

Doha is where it's at now.
It's absolutely stunning without being in your face like Dubai.
We just need QR to pitch up at GLA

Re: I wish I could fly/have flown to/from GLA but.....
I've got friends from Glasgow who are currently in Dubai. They flew from Glasgow East because the overnight flight is better timed for visiting Dubai itself. I've never flown a daytime flight to DXB so see where they're coming from. It's unfortunate that the flight is so short though. You always ar...

I took my big girl down to Brazil for a couple of weeks. Here's a few pics from the flight back to LHR. Food and drinks were ok but due to a crying kid I had to have a few more drinks than planned before getting to sleep. We had a shower and breakfast in arrivals at LHR before coming upstairs for so...

I see Etihad have launched their new A321LR which includes a couple of F seats. It looks very nice for a narrowbody. I for one would be happy to see this rock up at GLA, especially as I prefer Abu Dhabi (and AUH) to Dubai. Edited to add link: https://x.com/etihad/status/1916826199180915049 They’re ...

Re: I wish I could fly/have flown to/from GLA but.....
The status quo will remain until we have a vibrant Ryanair base. Bosses now appreciate that. Tbh, I'd be surprised if their predecessors didn't appreciate that too - they just didn't seem to be to able (or willing?) to do the deal. Someone recently sent me a comparison of yields on UK India routes....

Re: I wish I could fly/have flown to/from GLA but.....
There's always going to be an interplay and one or the other will be cheaper at some time - but if EDI is cheaper 5 out of 6 times that seems like a trend. It's frustrating that we constantly hear claims about "higher yields" at EDI whilst simultaneously hearing stories about flights from EDI being...
