Re: Icelandair

Another GLA only carrier goes East. We've seen this movie before. We can't seem to manage to get anything to come the other way.....

Re: CAA Stats March 2025

Another demonstration of the absolute idiocy of EK. Well done to all involved.

Re: 'Comprehensive Transformation' of terminal

Excellent, thanks for sharing Ian. Honestly, this man is music to my ears! He's acknowledging that Glasgow is Scotland’s biggest city, that its airport was once the country's busiest, and that far too many Glasgow passengers are now being lost to the second city’s airport. I’m looking forward to se...

Re: Passenger Numbers Feb 25

DXB down 17% :o . Feb 24 was a leap year, so a year on year comparison is slightly misleading, but their other UK routes either grew or were down 5%-7%. Taking the extra day last year into account, to stay on an even keel, you;d likely see a drop of -7%. That means there has been an extra 10% lost ...

Re: Empty airport

I flew out to FUE on Saturday afternoon. Very little on the departure boards post 1600 after all the based EZY and JET2 leave. Rather depressing to look at. TUI's winter offering is dire as well. 2-3 flights a day.

Re: Emirates

I've also seen a couple of tv ads. You would think those in charge at GLA would be having a word about ads for EDI service in Paisley! It opens the question if GLA management were naive in pandering to EK in the hope of recieving loyalty in return - and shows how essential it is to get other ME3 ca...

Re: Emirates

Multiple billboards across the west of Scotland including in Paisley advertising the A350 from EDI. Just illustrates that EK are going to nibble away at their own market from GLA. It's almost as if they are planning to.

Thanks for doing that. I think we've lost an evening E175 service Vs this summer? I think it was about 8ish. That's a pity

Re: August 2024 CAA Stats

DXB -1% (Average load 503 LF 97%) YYZ -15% 97% load factor on a daily A380 and still only one flight. Seriously EK and AGS... WTF are they playing at? And August is low season for this route. They are literally turning passengers away. It's almost as if they are retrofitting their fleet which is le...
