However. Can anyone for the life of the Almighty tell me why there are so many roadworks, closures, diversions, temp. traffic lights?
Its an absolute disaster trying to move around the city. Its everywhere. And before anyone says " improvements" , does anyone think it will be transformational?

Here we are eight months on and it's actually got worse. It seems like every main road in the city centre has got some sort of roadworks, lane closures etc. How the feck did it ever get to this stage? The current occupants of City Chambers have trashed a once proud city beyond recognition. That should be a criminal offence. Still, as long as they can buy their lingerie and get their limousines to football matches, all's good eh?
They’ve also played a part in the demise of GLA IMHO.

If they cared about it, they’d be trying to help get back everything we’ve lost!

I can’t stand roadworks either and agree that they are just about around every corner but surely they are a visual clue that something is being done to improve something that needed repair or improvement? George Square right now for example. You’ve got to break an egg to make an omelette.
