Jobs galore at AGS

I noticed on a recent LinkedIn post that AGS now have a new head of corporate affairs - none other than former SNP MP Gavin Newlands. Don’t recall that role being advertised and don’t recall any announcement or press release from AGS about this high profile role being filled either.

He posted on LinkedIn when he was appointed the role and the response from AGS employees, cross-party politicians and locals seemed overall positive

Bear in mind that he was appointed under the last leadership team, which might explain the lack of any press release or so on, would likely be a different story

Oh my word. An individual who toed the line and supported dictator Sturgeon and her attempts to destroy the aviation sector during the pandemic. The individual is no supporter of the aviation sector.

What an imbecilic thing to say.

Gavin Newlands was the MP for Paisley and Renfrew North and the airport was in his constituency. He was transport spokesman for the SNP group at Westminster and locally he was always a champion of GLA.

The real idiocy in “planeenthusiast’s” post is 1. Making a political post and 2. Saying that measures made by governments, not just here but around Europe and the world, to try to protect our most vulnerable from COVID and to try to deal with it quickly for the sake of recovering the economy were in fact attempts to destroy the air travel industry. For what? Just to play silly buggers?, a green agenda? That is just infantile beyond words. He’d better choose his reply carefully.
