By contrast, today's Icelandair is a Boeing 767 with over 230 passengers on the inbound (not sure about outbound) so Global clearly isn't the answer to GLA-USA, although I doubt that shocked anyone

It’s not but the number of souls on board this particular flight is no kind of indication, I’d say. The return flight is in a few days. Most of the people on board today will be making their own way back or going elsewhere in the UK. It’s not a normal scheduled flight.
