No more LH960/961 at GLA after today. They head eastwards. GLA gets 972/973 instead. Tidier.

What does that actually mean? Confused.

The afternoon flight number changes to align with the morning flight number, it's been on the schedule page since last year so not really a surprise it was changing

Up to today middle of the day flight numbers were LH960 into GLA and LH961 out of GLA. From tomorrow these will be renumbered LH972 and LH973.

The other flights - late evening into GLA and early morning out of GLA remain numbered LH974 and LH975. So all now in a sequence.

It was an observation.Nobody has claimed that it is a surprise.

Thanks. I didn't get the bit about heading eastwards, thought we were losing them.

Just the flight numbers off to EDI instead of the actual flights for a change

Essentially, this is just a simple flight number change, nothing more. Hardly an event worth noting. The wording "No more LH960/961 at GLA after today. They head eastwards." is arguably misleading, whether intentional or not.

Agreed. Anyway, all cleared up now, thanks.

For the avoidance of any doubt which may exist in some quarters there was no intention to mislead.
