It’s great to see a new Ryanair route take off! Hopefully, this marks the beginning of a strong and productive partnership between Glasgow Airport’s new management team and Ryanair.
It would have been interesting to hear Ryanair’s perspective on the new route, but it seems the only comment came from Mark Beveridge, Managing Director of Glasgow Airport.
On a positive note, the press release on the Glasgow Airport website makes no mention of any new routes from Glasgow East. Kudos to the GLA marketing team for that!

At the February press conference announcing the new routes to Glasgow and Rzeszow from Malta Michael O'Leary said 'We see limitless growth in Malta' so nothing specific to Glasgow but we can hope some of the growth comes our way. He also said that Malta airport needs to lower its costs but that's par for the course from him!
