Re: Edinburgh
The flight number is for AUH-AGP that is next to EDI flight so weird oneegpffqtv wrote: ↑Sun Jan 15, 2023 8:14 pm Surely EY aren’t making a surprise return to EDI?

Re: Edinburgh
This would be a surprise if it turns out to be correct. Is the demand big enough to sustain QR, EY and possibly EK? It would certainly be an amazing coup for EDI to have the big three ME operating to/from EDI.Ekally1 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 15, 2023 8:22 pmThe flight number is for AUH-AGP that is next to EDI flight so weird oneegpffqtv wrote: ↑Sun Jan 15, 2023 8:14 pm Surely EY aren’t making a surprise return to EDI?

Re: Edinburgh
And Turkish..... However as we have seen with the US based carriers, airlines are like sheep and seem to want to compete head on regardless....
Re: Edinburgh
It’s a bit odd that I haven’t been able to find the original post on Instagram and the Twitter poster is normally reliable with his information.
Re: Edinburgh
He never said EDI or any of the others on that departure board mock up were a goer.

Re: Edinburgh
EZY also launching Santorini - EDI
Re: Edinburgh
EZY to AYT and JTR… more TUI seats available from EDI than at the cost of TUI metal.
This means two operators Jet2 and EZY to JTR with no GKA service. TUI don’t take seats or have any commercial agreement with Jet2 so presumably any seats they sell will be on EZY!
Either GLA costs are too high for TUI or there is no market with sustainable, sizeable relevant disposable income seen in the GLA market in the eyes of the tour operators.

Re: Edinburgh
Im assuming that AYT is in Turkey, and have to say that us in the west flock to Turkey because its cheap. Dont think disposable income has anything to do with it. Rory and India from Morningside very very very unlikely to go to Turkish beach resort.
