Post by 1-11 »

have I been living under a rock or something, but I watched a U-tube video about Emirates starting their new A.350's with a new service to to EDI.

It was meant to (re)start earlier this year but was delayed due to delayed aircraft deliveries.

Currently operated by 772 (773 in peak December) then A350 starts 03JAN25 IIRC.

A terrible decision by Emirates to move GLA’s evening flight to the wrong end of the M8. This will undoubtedly result in a drop in passenger numbers, which is likely why EK has deployed their smallest aircraft on the EDI route. That said, I hope EK at EDI proves to be a notable failure, much like Etihad and Virgin at EDI.

Indeed it was, also showing they have no loyalty to GLA even after the investment the airport made to host the vanity project daily flight. Lounge, airbridges etc... I'd be talking instantly to the other ME3 carriers and TK. Get rid of the A380 and all the airbridges too. A double daily T7 again or bugger off... :D

We had an A380 and a 77W on a daily basis .. going back to double daily 77W is less capacity from before covid
