Love to see EDI get all these negative comments on their latest post about improvements to their check in hall.

Oooft. That's great reading to be fair. :D
Edited to add:
Coupled with airlines constantly whinging about waiting 30-40 minutes to get on stand, it's an open goal for AviAlliance.

You’d think!

They should be aggressively courting these airlines highlighting all of EDI’s shortcomings and issues.

I highly doubt airlines or EDI will be particularly alarmed at around 150-200 negative comments. 200 out of 15m+ pax. Little bit of context here. How many of those who posted have actually travelled through the airport recently? The most compelling reason for an airline choosing an airport to serve is the potential to make as many bucks as possible and pay as little as possible for the ground services received. Glasgow management have clearly failed to deliver. Their marketing teams have failed to deliver. They have failed to convince airlines that Glasgow has more to offer than EDI. The new owners must realise that fundamental change is required.

Pax may moan about facilities at EDI, but the reality is that as long as it has plenty cheap, direct flights, then the pax will still flock there.

Yes, much like folk use a city’s bus or train station without regard to the niceties. An airport is just the processing facility in one’s journey. What drives the use of the facility is the demand for the city or region it facilitates.
