Loganair
Re: Loganair
Interesting tweet by Loganair, the end of an era if you will. ATR's too big for the current gates on the loco peir?

Re: Loganair
Yeah sorry that's the ones I meant. I just referred to it as the loco peir for ease

Re: Loganair
Their Facebook seems to elaborate more that Gates 1-5 will be used more regularly for jet operations whilst gates 15-16 on the central pier which are normally where the likes of SOU etc will depart are going to be used for ATR 42 operations.
How many Loganair aircraft are actually based at GLA out of interest does anyone know?
My guesses would be:
2x ERJ
2x Saab soon to be ATR 42
2x Twin Otter?

Interesting to see the ERJ’s are being refurbed, take it theres no plan to replace them anytime soon from that.

Re: Loganair
Would love to see Loganair grow even more. Take on a few larger aircraft like 319 or 320’s. An alternative carrier to LHR or LGW for example. Surely there is sufficient demand to compete with BA on the LHR route? Getting slots is the obvious barrier.
Re: Loganair
If LM went on the LHR route , they would get slaughtered.. Think A319 or A320 might be a bit big for them .. just my humblesPlaneenthusiast wrote: ↑Fri Oct 06, 2023 9:41 am Would love to see Loganair grow even more. Re: Loganair
When LM took on the E145s it was surrounded by a lot of talk about international routes. They then had a rather brief and abortive foray into those kinds of routes and now have mainly settled back into domestics. Is the E145s the correct aircraft for that, or would they not be better ditching them and going all ATR? Even the couple of international routes they still do are fairly short and could probably be done by a turpoprop.Gla1 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 06, 2023 9:35 am Heres the article for anyone fancying a look!
